Lord, Do It Again

A few weeks ago, I had a dream that I was looking to place a HOPE California tent next to the original site of Billy Graham’s historic gospel tent of 1949.
We have since learned that Billy Graham’s original tent revival of 1949 overlaps with the dates of our 10 tents in 10 cities from October 1-10. Here’s the story. In September of 1949, 72 years ago, a young Billy Graham began his first evangelistic campaign in a tent on the corner of Washington and Hill Streets in Los Angeles, California. What was to originally be a 3 week campaign, was extended several more weeks because of what God was doing in the tent! News radio began covering the tent and even celebrities came out to receive Jesus. Over 350,000 people came to hear the gospel preached, and 3,000+ accepted Jesus! This historic tent was essentially the launch of Billy Graham’s ministry.
Seventy-two years later, we’re praying that God would do it again and raise up thousands of Billy Graham’s who will preach the Gospel with boldness and lead this lost generation back to Christ. We believe that tents will be filled with thousands saved, healed, delivered, baptized and filled with the Holy Spirit all over California.

God, do it again! Raise up the evangelists in California again! Save thousands in California again! You’re the God of yesterday, today and forever and your blessings extend from generation to generation. Amen!
